‘Comeback King’ Trump Gets Standing Ovation In 1st Stop Back To D.C.

1 week ago President Donald Trump arrived back in Washington D.C. and was greeted with a standing ovation by House Republicans as he took the stage at the GOP Conference’ meeting near the Capitol.
Trump: ‘Well thank you very much. I just want to thank everybody. We won the majority by 7.1 million. We won, which is great, because Republicans aren't supposed to be winning the majority. Marjorie, you know that, right? And we won that, and we won in every every way, all seven swing states by a lot. And Michigan was great. Couldn't be better. I'll tell you, Michigan was great, and we had a couple of people, almost New Jersey is right, just a few points. It's got them very worried.’
Trump was back at Joint Base Andrews for the first time since leaving office back in 2021 – with him, of course, was Elon Musk who sat in the audience and listened as Trump spoke to the conference.
Trump -who is being celebrated as the ‘Comeback King’- jokingly told lawmakers "I suspect I won't be running again unless you do something else, unless you say he's so good we've got to figure something out."
