Biden Suspends His Campaign

President Joe Biden says he will not seek reelection. He made the announcement over social media first by posting a letter and then a few minutes later a follow up post endorsing his vice President Kamala Harris.
“Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.” Said President Biden.
That endorsement was quickly followed by a statement from Bill and Hillary Clinton who also have endorsed Harris.
The Clintons writing in a post first thanking Joe Biden for his service and then saying, “We are honored to join the President in endorsing Vice President Harris and will do whatever we can to support her.”
Barrack Obama also released a statement calling Biden a patriot of the highest order … however the Obamas have not publicly endorsed Kamala Harris. Instead, former President Obama said he has “… extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges.”
The Democrat National Convention is set for August 19th in Chicago.
