About 90 U.S. citizens remain unaccounted for after catastrophic flash floods struck the border region between Nepal and Tibet, killing hundreds of people.
The U.S. State Department says it is not aware of any American deaths but confirmed that three U.S. citizens have been rescued as authorities continue searching for those who remain missing.
Many of the missing Americans were traveling on pilgrimages to Mount Kailash in Tibet, a sacred destination for Hindus, Buddhists and followers of other religions. An organization affiliated with Indian spiritual leader Sadhguru said 22 Americans traveling with its group were among those unaccounted for.
