Canada Opposes Offensive Role In Iran Conflict

Canada says it was not consulted on U.S.-Israeli strikes against Iran and will not participate in any offensive military action.

Foreign Minister Anita Anand says Canada’s priority is de-escalation and the protection of civilians as the war in the Middle East continues.

She said any NATO-related decisions would be made in coordination with allies and emphasized support for regional stability.
