Christa Pike In Critical Condition After Failed Execution

(Nashville, TN) -- There are a lot of questions after the Tennessee death row inmate who survived an execution by lethal injection attempt is now in critical condition. Christa Pike's attorneys said she is receiving lifesaving medical care after yesterday's failed execution. She reportedly was still breathing and snoring after receiving two doses of pentobarbital. One of her lawyers said he saw at least seven needles go into Pike's arm during the execution attempt. Her attorneys are now calling for Governor Bill Lee to commute her sentence. Lee has issued a stay on all executions in Tennessee for now.
