Committee To Vote Thursday To Hold Fauci In Contempt Of Congress

Senator Rand Paul has scheduled a committee vote for Thursday at 8:30 a.m. Eastern to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress.

The move follows last week's hearing, where Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment rights 111 times and declined to answer questions about the origins of COVID-19 and the government's pandemic response.

Ahead of the vote, Paul's office released more than one-thousand pages from Fauci's personal diary, claiming the entries reveal his interest in becoming a global celebrity.

The diary was obtained from government computer servers and spans from late 2019 through December 2022.
