Cuomo, Sliwa, Mamdani Face Off in First NYC Mayoral Debate

New York City voters will see mayoral candidates Andrew Cuomo, Curtis Sliwa, and Zohran Mamdani debate Thursday ahead of the general election.

Mamdani, a 33-year-old Democratic socialist, won the city’s Democratic primary earlier this year. Cuomo, the former governor, is running on an independent line, hoping to attract moderate and conservative voters, while radio host Curtis Sliwa also vies for the office.

The debate offers the first chance for voters to compare the candidates directly as the city heads toward November’s vote.
