Elon Musk PAC Sued Over $1M Voter Giveaway By District Attorney In Philadelphia ‘Illegal Lottery’
15 hours ago
The District Attorney in Philadelphia has filed a lawsuit, trying to stop Elon Musk’s PAC from giving out $1million prizes to registered voters in battleground states who sign a petition supporting free speech and gun rights ahead of the Presidential election.
The top prosecutor is calling the giveaway an ‘illegal lottery’ that’s enticing residents of Pennsylvania to share personal data, which allegedly violates state consumer protection laws.
After the lawsuit was filed, America Pac posted a Michigan resident who won the $1 million prize, and asserted they would continue to hand out awards every day until the election.
Last week, the Biden – Harris DOJ sent a letter to the PAC warning that the givaways may violate federal law.
