Flights Delayed After Equipment Outage Impacts Northeast Airports

Hundreds of flights are delayed after the FAA issued ground stops at several Northeast airports due to equipment outages. The ground stops are in place at LaGuardia, John F. Kennedy, Newark, Teterboro and Philadelphia airports. There have been more than 220 flights delayed at Newark so far. The FAA issued an advisory, but did not specifically say what equipment has been impacted. Travelers are being encouraged to contact their airline regarding flight status.
