Gunman Wounds Staff Member At Virginia Elementary School, Then Kills Himself

Authorities say a 19-year-old gunman forced his way into a Virginia elementary school and shot a staff member before killing himself. Police found Anthony Ignatiadis-Isabelle dead inside the Westwood Hills Elementary School library after responding to a report of a suspicious person Wednesday morning. The staff member who was shot has been released from the hospital. Authorities did not say if the gunman knew the victim or had any connection to the school. Waynesboro Public Schools Superintendent Jeffrey Cassell says all students and staff are safe. Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger is expressing her support for those affected.
