Actress Hayden Panettiere, best known for starring in the television series “Heroes” and “Nashville,” has died at the age of 36.
Her father, Skip Panettiere, announced her death in a statement Sunday. No cause of death has been announced.
Panettiere began her career as a child actor, appearing in commercials and soap operas before moving into film. Her credits included voicing Dot in “A Bug’s Life” and appearing in “Remember the Titans.”
She rose to widespread fame as Claire Bennet, a cheerleader with regenerative powers, on NBC’s “Heroes.” She later starred as country singer Juliette Barnes on “Nashville,” earning two Golden Globe nominations for the role.
Panettiere also appeared in the “Scream” franchise, returning as Kirby Reed in 2023’s “Scream VI.” She would have turned 37 on Friday.
