House Passes Bill To Make Daylight Saving Time Permanent
10 hours ago
The House has passed legislation that would make daylight saving time permanent across most of the United States, eliminating the twice-a-year clock changes.
Supporters of the measure say keeping clocks on daylight saving time year-round would provide more evening daylight when Americans are most active.
The bill would still allow states to opt out if their legislatures choose to do so before the law takes effect.
The proposal now heads to the Senate, where its future remains uncertain. It must pass the Senate and be signed by the president before it can become law.
