A sheriff in Florida has released video of a woman allegedly being attacked by an illegal migrant who she say’s was trying to rape her
The Volusia Sheriff’s Office saying that the woman’s quick thinking saved her from the attack – after she called 911 and asked for a pizza.
The call was shared by the Sheriff’s Office on social media,
"I would like to order a pizza. I'm so stuck in here."
"Okay. Are you aware you're calling 911?"
"Yes, I'm sure I'm calling to that number."
Volusia Sheriff Mike Chitwood said dispatchers were able to triangulate her phone, since she didn’t know where she was. Once deputies got there, they started searching on foot, Chitwood said "Eventually, they heard loud music coming from a field. When they approached the sound, they discovered a male on top of a screaming female."
"He’s trying to rape me. Can you help me?"
"Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Jesus."
In the video posted to X – Chitwood said
"When you watch the video … if you're a father, if you're a grandfather, if you're a brother, and you hear those screams coming from our victim, it makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up."
According to deputies, the victim told them she was out on a date with the alleged attacker, but after he did a line of coke he completely changed, become violent and tried to rape her.
The suspect, 27-year-old Luis Diego Hernandez-Moncayo is an illegal migrant from Mexico – who according to Sheriff Chitwood – tried to apply for asylum the day before the attack.
He’s being charged with attempted sexual battery, battery by strangulation, and false imprisonment, with an immigration detainer from the U.S. Border Patrol.
