Investigation Continues Into Foiled Terror Plot On U.S.-Run Air Base In UK

Britain's Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, says the U.K. has “strong indications” that Iran played a part in a foiled terror attack. On Sunday, 5 men were arrested near a U.S.-run air base in England. Burnham says British and American officials are carrying out a “complex and serious” investigation. The suspects are in their 20s and were arrested on suspicion of explosives offenses and planning an act of terror. They have since been released on bail. Police say they found gasoline in the vans but no explosives. Iran has denied involvement.
