Iran’s New Supreme Leader Reportedly Wounded

Israeli intelligence believes Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s newly installed supreme leader, may have been lightly wounded during a joint U.S.-Israeli air campaign targeting Iran.
A senior Israeli official told Reuters the reported injury could explain why Khamenei has not appeared publicly since assuming power.
According to several Iranian sources, the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps pushed for Khamenei’s selection, viewing him as a leader likely to support hardline domestic and foreign policies similar to those of his father.
The situation remains tense as Israeli officials continue to warn of further action. Israel Katz said any leader installed by Iran’s current leadership could be considered a potential target for elimination.
