Judge Ends Lindsay Clancy Trial For Day; Jury Deadlocked Over 1 Juror

PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — The deadlocked jury in the Lindsay Clancy trial has gone home again without a verdict. The sixth day of deliberations Thursday saw her defense lawyer tell the judge that the panel’s foreperson said in a note that a single juror won’t follow the court's instructions about reasonable doubt, and is holding up a verdict. The jury will return Friday to see if they can reach a decision on whether the Massachusetts mother is criminally responsible for killing her three children. Clancy does not deny she did it, but argues that postpartum psychosis led to her actions. This is the first time the jury indicated there might be tension or acrimony in the deliberation room.
