Lindsay Clancy’s Lawyer Files Motion Seeking Acquittal After Mistrial

Lindsay Clancy's defense team is asking a judge to dismiss the murder case against her after her trial ended in a mistrial.

Clancy admitted to killing her three children in 2023, but her attorneys argued she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis and should not be held criminally responsible.

The jury deliberated for seven days without reaching a unanimous verdict.

Prosecutors have not decided whether they will retry Clancy. They could pursue the original first-degree murder charges or consider lesser charges. The case is scheduled to return to court September 29th.
