Medical Chopper Crash Kills 3 In Mississippi

1 week ago Authorities say a medical helicopter that crashed in a wooded area in Mississippi reported “a flight control problem” shortly before a Monday crash. All three people on board were killed. Radio traffic indicated the pilot was going to attempt to land in a field. It crashed shortly after that and caught fire. Officials on Tuesday identified the two health care workers on board as 37-year-old Jakob Kindt of Tupelo, Mississippi, and 35-year-old Dustin Pope of Philadelphia, Mississippi. The pilot, 62-year-old Cal Wesolowski of Starkville, Mississippi, also died. Wesolowski worked for Med-Trans Corp.
