Netanyahu Expresses Support For Trump As U.S. Leader Over Biden

21 weeks ago As President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu answered questions from reporters Tuesday evening at the White House, you can hear Fox News' Peter Doocy ask: “We have heard Joe Biden and Donald Trump take credit for the hostage and ceasefire deal. Who do you think deserves more credit?”

To which Prime Minister Netanyahu answered: “I think President Trump added great force and powerful leadership to this effort…I’ll just tell you, I’m happy that they are here…”

This first visit of a foreign leader during Trump’s second term comes amid lagging support for Netanyahu in Israel. The Israeli prime minister faces competing pressure from his right-wing coalition to end a temporary truce in Gaza and from war-weary Israelis who want the remaining hostages home and the 15-month conflict to end.
