Pentagon Investigates Sen. Mark Kelly Over Video Urging Troops To Defy “Illegal Orders”

The Pentagon is investigating Democratic Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona after the former Navy pilot appeared in a video calling on U.S. troops to defy what he described as “illegal orders.”
Pentagon officials cited a federal law that allows retired service members to be recalled to active duty and face possible court-martial or other actions if they violate military rules.
Kelly dismissed the investigation as the work of “bullies,” saying he has always upheld his oath to the Constitution.
It is extremely rare for the Pentagon to publicly threaten a sitting member of Congress with an investigation.
