Police Group Demands Kamala Apologize For Comments Linking Slavery To Officers

7 weeks ago The National Association of Police Organizations is calling on Kamala Harris to apologize for the comments she made linking slavery and Jim Crow to police officers.
Michael McHale, the President of the NAPO said that
"Kamala Harris has shown once again that she simply has no actual knowledge of what modern American police officers do, and worse, doesn't seem to even care for the men and women who put their life on the line to protect American communities,”
He said he wanted her to apologize for her comments equating policing to ‘lynching and slavery.’ Adding that she has yet to explain her support for defunding the police and her support for the so-called 'Minnesota Freedom Fund' that bailed out people who were arrested for violent crimes during the 2020 George Floyd riots.
Harris made the comments during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on police use of force, she later posted her comments online but changed policing to "the criminal justice system."
