Report: Diddy Placed In Solitary Confinement
3 weeks ago
Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been placed in solitary confinement at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey following an NBC News investigation into his alleged privileged lifestyle behind bars.
NBC News reports that Combs was removed from his dormitory-style housing and transferred to the prison’s special housing unit, commonly known as solitary confinement or the SHU. A source with knowledge of the matter confirmed the move to the network.
The transfer came after NBC News reported that Combs had allegedly been paying other inmates to perform chores and provide services for him while serving his federal prison sentence.
Four men who said they spent time in the same prison unit as Combs told NBC News that other inmates cooked special meals for him, cleaned his living areas, did his laundry, made his bed and provided massages.
The report also alleged that Combs had access to contraband, including cellphones and alcohol. NBC News said it reviewed photos and videos from inside the prison, including footage that appeared to show Combs using a cellphone.
A representative for Combs disputed the characterization of his prison life, saying the media was portraying ordinary details of incarceration as news and maintaining that Combs continues to serve his sentence while awaiting a decision on his appeal.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has declined to confirm whether Combs was transferred to solitary confinement, citing privacy, safety and security concerns.
Former federal prison officials told NBC News that inmates can be placed in the special housing unit while prison officials investigate potential violations.
It is not the first time Combs has reportedly been placed in solitary confinement at Fort Dix. He was sent to the special housing unit earlier this year following a fight with another inmate.
Combs is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after being convicted in 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of more serious racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.
Combs is appealing his convictions and sentence.
