Toddler Found Alive At Morgue After Death Declared In Arizona

(Gilbert, AZ) -- An Arizona couple is planning a lawsuit against a Phoenix-area hospital that mistakenly declared their toddler son dead. Alexus Fiordilino says a doctor Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center ruled her 18-month-old son dead after an accidental drowning back in February, despite several witnesses citing signs of life. Hours later, a delivery driver for the Maricopa County medical examiner discovered the child, alive and moving, under a sheet. Vincent Fiordilino suffered a severe brain injury and will require lifelong medical care.
