Trump Denies Plans To Replace White House Chief Of Staff Susie Wiles

President Donald Trump on Friday denied reports that he is considering replacing White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, calling the reports false and reaffirming his support for his top aide.

“The Susie Wiles story was a fake story,” Trump told CNN’s Kristen Holmes, referring to a Politico report that said he had discussed potential replacements with allies.

“She’s been incredible,” Trump said of Wiles, describing her as smart and tough. He also referenced her recent battle with breast cancer, noting that she had undergone surgery.

“Susie is here and she’s gonna be here for a long time,” Trump added.

In a statement to Politico, Trump called Wiles his “loyal and longest serving Chief of Staff” and said she has his “COMPLETE confidence.”

Trump also told reporters Friday that the decision rests solely with him.

Wiles disclosed her early-stage breast cancer diagnosis in March. Trump encouraged her to begin treatment immediately and take time away from the White House as needed. However, Wiles continued serving as chief of staff while undergoing treatment.

Last month, Wiles announced she was cancer-free and thanked Trump for his support, saying she would continue working to advance his agenda.

Wiles played a key role in Trump's successful 2024 presidential campaign before becoming White House chief of staff. She is the first woman to hold the position.
