Trump Heads to Ohio For Midterm Campaign Rally
1 week ago
President Donald Trump is heading to Youngstown, Ohio, Monday evening as he continues campaigning for Republican candidates ahead of November's midterm elections.
Trump is scheduled to appear alongside Republican Sen. Jon Husted, who is facing a challenge from former Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown in one of the state's closely watched Senate races.
The rally comes as Republicans work to maintain control of Congress, with Trump taking an active role in campaigning for GOP candidates across the country.
Husted, who previously served as Ohio's lieutenant governor, is seeking to retain his Senate seat against Brown, who represented Ohio in the U.S. Senate before losing his reelection bid in 2024.
Protesters are also expected to gather outside the Youngstown event as the president addresses supporters.
The appearance is part of Trump's broader effort to rally Republican voters ahead of the November elections.
