Trump Meets Xi — But the REAL Power Play Is Happening Behind the Scenes (WATCH) | The Erin Molan Show
4 weeks ago
Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in America — and President Donald Trump was there to personally greet him.
Erin Molan opens with footage from Xi’s arrival at Joint Base Andrews, including the military welcome and flyover, before asking the bigger question: what is REALLY happening beneath the surface of this Trump-Xi meeting?
China expert and author Gordon G. Chang joins Erin to break down what Xi Jinping wants from President Trump, what Trump may want in return, the pressure Xi is facing inside China, and why Chang believes the relationship between Washington and Beijing requires a very different approach.
They also dig into China’s relationship with Iran, recent reporting involving Chinese entities and satellite imagery connected to attacks on U.S. forces, the escalating U.S.-China race for artificial intelligence, and why AI could become one of the defining geopolitical battles of the 21st century.
Plus, Gordon shares the deeply personal reason his view of artificial intelligence changed dramatically.
What should we be watching as Trump and Xi sit down face-to-face? And what matters more: what happens in front of the cameras — or what’s happening behind the scenes?
