The Special counsel investigating Donald Trump for document handling and the aftermath of the 2020 election took another shot at the President-Elect… Special counsel Jack Smith sent a report to congress at 1 am this morning… outlining the findings in his so-called “investigation”.
Smith stands fully behind his decision to bring criminal charges he believes would have resulted in a conviction had voters not returned Trump to the White House.
The Trump legal team sought to keep the 174 page report sealed… However, yesterday afternoon, a Federal judge decided it could be released.
Trump responded early Tuesday with a post on his Truth Social platform, claiming he was “totally innocent” and calling Smith “a lamebrain prosecutor who was unable to get his case tried before the Election.” He added, “THE VOTERS HAVE SPOKEN!!!”
