Trump Reviewing Candidates For Next Federal Reserve Chair

President Donald Trump says he is interviewing “some very good people” for the role of Federal Reserve chairman. The president has made it clear he plans to replace current Fed Chair Jerome Powell next year and says he’s already reviewing a list of candidates.

Trump noted that his first choice was Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, but Bessent declined the job.
