(Killeen, TX) -- President Trump has announced the execution of convicted Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan will not be livestreamed. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said streaming Hasan's death by firing squad would be a strong deterrent to the world but added many "well meaning people" would rather not watch him die. The President said he will die as scheduled and the execution may be viewed in person by the immediate families of the victims if they wish. Hasan, a former army doctor, killed 12 soldiers, one civilian, and an unborn baby in the mass shooting in November 2009 at Fort Hood in Texas. Thirty-three people were also injured in the shooting including Hasan, who was left paralyzed from the waist down during the attack.
