Trump Signs Order Aimed At Lowering Diesel Costs

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order aimed at lowering diesel costs for American farmers and truckers.

The order temporarily allows red-dyed diesel, normally reserved for off-road uses such as farming and construction, to be used on highways. It also defers the federal excise tax on the fuel through the end of the year.

The move comes as diesel prices remain above $6 a gallon.
