Trump Threatens 100% Tariff On Foreign-Made Movies

The White House says no final decisions have been made on President Donald Trump's call for tariffs targeting films made outside the United States. A spokesperson said Monday that the administration is exploring all options. The Republican president said Sunday he has authorized the Department of Commerce and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative to slap a 100% tariff “on any and all Movies" coming into the U.S. that are produced overseas. It's unclear how any such tariff on international productions could be implemented. It’s common for both large and small films to include production in the U.S. and in other countries.
