President Donald Trump is set to deliver his closing message ahead of Tuesday's midterm elections during an event at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C., on Monday.

The president is scheduled to speak at 2 p.m. Eastern, according to the White House, as Republicans make their final push to maintain control of Congress.

Trump is expected to highlight his administration's accomplishments, Republican legislative priorities and efforts to restore landmarks throughout the nation's capital.

The event follows a busy weekend of campaigning that included stops in Iowa and Kansas on Sunday. Trump has spent the past month traveling across the country, rallying Republican voters and urging support for GOP candidates in key congressional races.

The president told reporters Sunday that his appearance at the Reflecting Pool would showcase improvements to the landmark, which has undergone extensive restoration work.

The site has been the focus of a renovation project that experienced delays and additional repairs. The National Park Service previously announced that portions of the area would remain closed to the public through November 20.

In addition to Monday's appearance, Trump is scheduled to participate in nine telephone rallies from the White House throughout the day.

The president's final campaign message comes as voters prepare to decide control of the House and Senate, with several closely watched races expected to shape the balance of power in Washington.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
