U.S., Iran Exchange New Strikes As Ceasefire Teeters

The United States and Iran exchanged a new round of military strikes overnight, raising fresh concerns that the fragile ceasefire aimed at ending the conflict could collapse.

U.S. forces carried out airstrikes inside Iran, while Tehran responded by launching missiles toward Gulf countries. The escalation came hours after President Donald Trump declared the interim ceasefire effectively over and warned of further U.S. action if attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz continue.

Meanwhile, Iran held funeral ceremonies for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed during the opening phase of the conflict, following several days of nationwide mourning.
