U.S. & Iran Trade Strikes

The United States military says it has struck new targets in Iran as hostilities flared after a month without military action. Iranian semiofficial media say the country has begun firing missiles and drones in response to U.S. strikes. The Fars and Tasnim news agencies, seen as close to Iran’s security forces, reported late Tuesday that it had launched such operations. U.S. Central Command said the new strikes come after Tehran tried to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and U.S. service members in the region.
