U.S. Military Aircraft Crashes With 4 Service Members On Board In NC

A U.S. Marine Corps Osprey crashed during a training exercise in North Carolina Thursday morning, injuring all four Marines on board.

Military officials say the MV-22B Osprey went down around 10:20 a.m. in Bladen Lakes State Forest, near Elizabethtown.

The aircraft caught fire and made a hard landing near the Pappy Tatum landing zone.

All four Marines were taken for medical treatment.

The Osprey was based at Marine Corps Air Station New River, about 50 miles from the crash site.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
