(Siberia) -- The U.S. is monitoring the situation after a lab worker died due to possible exposure to the plague in Russia. Russian officials said at first a woman who was an employee at an anti-plague research institute in Irkutsk died from an unspecified form of the disease. Now, the country's consumer watchdog said that woman had been "diagnosed with pneumonia" of unknown origin. Some reports said nearly 200 people had been quarantined due to possible exposure. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says officials are monitoring the situation closely.
