US Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met for bilateral talks on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference on Friday (February 14), discussing strategies to bring the war in Eastern Europe to an end.
Vance emphasized that the US wanted to achieve lasting peace, "not the kind of peace that will have eastern Europe in conflict just a couple of years down the road.
Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for American support and added: "Our first meeting, not (the) last, for sure."
