10 People Face Attempted Murder Charges After Shooting Outside TX Immigration Detention Center

12 hours ago Ten people face attempted murder charges after a shooting outside a Texas immigration detention center. Acting U.S. Attorney Nancy Larson says the group, dressed in black military-style clothing, staged the “planned ambush” on Friday. A local police officer was shot in the neck but has since been treated and released. Larson said Monday the group used fireworks to lure U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel outside the center in Alvarado, where they opened fire. Weapons, body armor, and anti-ICE materials were found at the scene. Some suspects were arrested nearby. They were armed and wearing tactical gear. Larson says they face multiple charges, including attempted murder and firearm offenses.
