U.S. Central Command says its forces partnered with the Iraqi Security Forces in a raid resulting in the deaths of 15 Islamic State (ISIS) operatives.
In a statement, CENTCOM said "The ISIS element was armed with numerous weapons, grenades, and explosive "suicide" belts," It also added that there were no indication of civilian casualties in the raid.
Seven American troops were injured in the joint raid, … 5 wounded in the operation while two others were hurt in falls. All US personnel are expected to survive.
A pause in the fighting as hundreds of thousands of children get immunized for polio in Gaza.
The Ministry of Health of Palestine, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations, has launched a polio vaccination campaign in the Gaza Strip, targeting more than 640,000 children under the age of 10. Israel agreed to halt military activity while they distribute the vaccine. Meanwhile, parts of the West Bank remained on edge Saturday as two car bombs exploded near Israeli settlements.
