Allegiant Air says it has completed its purchase of Sun Country Airlines in a deal valued at approximately $1.5 billion.
The merger comes as low-cost airlines face mounting financial pressure from rising fuel costs and broader industry challenges following the recent shutdown of Spirit Airlines.
