Benefit Concert To Help LA Fire Victims Set For Thursday
24 weeks ago
Within days of the devastating Los Angeles-area fires breaking out, a benefit concert was in the works. It’s already raised millions for relief efforts. On Thursday, FireAid will take place in two venues. It will feature performers like Billie Eilish, Peso Pluma, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Joni Mitchell. The producers told The Associated Press it came together quickly. First they got the venue. Then came corporate sponsors and the lineup. Irving Azoff says viewers can expect “one of the best shows ever televised.” With 28 performers, the show will run over five hours long, beginning at 6 p.m. Pacific.
