Blanche Faces Questions Over $1.8 Billion Fund

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche is set to testify before Congress for the first time since taking over the Justice Department.

Lawmakers are expected to press Blanche over a nearly $1.8 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund” created to compensate allies of President Donald Trump who claim they were politically targeted.

Critics argue the program is an illegal abuse of power and are asking the courts to block it.

Nearly 100 congressional Democrats have urged a judge to stop the fund from moving forward.
