10 immediate cutbacks were detailed in a memo to employees, including pausing pay increases for promotions, and stopping all travel that isn’t critical.
The memo said that the company is in a difficult spot and the strike jeopardizes their recovery in a significant way.
About 33,000 workers began striking early Friday. The walkout came after workers rejected an offer that included pay raises of 25% over four years.
