A California couple is facing multiple felony charges in a child abuse case involving over a dozen children born via surrogacy in their Los Angeles County mansion. The husband and wife 66-year-old Guojun Zuan and 39-year-old Silvia Zhang were arrested at their residence after a 17-month investigation, according to the LA County sheriff. Prosecutors allege they ran what they said was a "house of horrors" with multiple live-in nannies physically abusing at least 15 children, including 14 born via surrogacy, at the couple's encouragement. Some of the children were as young as two months old at the time. The couple allegedly watched the punishment through a system of 32 motion-activated cameras inside the house, at times laughing, according to prosecutors.
