CVS To Layoff 2,900 In Cost Cutting Push

2 weeks ago CVS Health has announced that it would be laying off about 2,900 employees as the pharmacy store giant is being forced to cut costs.
The slash in jobs will primarily impact corporate roles and not the jobs of people who work in stores, pharmacies and distribution centers, it said.
According to Reuters, CVS is looking into options that could split the company up inan effort to gain financial footing in an economy that’s plagued with sky high inflation.
CVS announced back in August their plan to cut $2 billion in costs by using Artificial Intelligence, automation and cutting jobs.
Last year, the company cut about 5,000 jobs.
