Election Officials Have Serious Questions About Post Office’s Ability To Deliver Millions Of Ballots

5 days ago A group of state and local election officials are saying they are seriously concerned about the U.S. Post Office’s ability to deliver millions of ballots for the 2024 presidential election.
The letter, from the National Association of State Election Directors says election officials "have raised serious questions about processing facility operations, lost or delayed election mail, and front-line training deficiencies’
Officials say that even though they’ve had repeated meetings with USPS election staff, they haven’t seen any improvement or effort to solve the issues.
In addition, in the last two years they wrote, in almost every election – mail is not getting ballots to their destination with in the 3–5-day delivery standard
According to the USPS inspector general's office 46% of votes were cast by mail in 2020 compared with 21% in the 2016 election.
