Residents of Florida are waking up to what’s left after Hurricane Milton Ripped through the state as a Category 3 Storm Wednesday night.
Video shows crews from the Clearwater Fire Department rescuing people from the flooding on Thursday, along with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office whose Aviation Section captured District One deputies working nonstop to rescue several people trapped in their homes.
The winds reached 120 miles an hour, dumping 16 inches of rain in some areas, as deadly tornadoes ripped through neighborhoods. At least 9 deaths have been reported, with Governor DeSantis saying they expect that number to rise.
The Governor now directing crews to work around the clock to continue their response and recovery efforts.
