Iran Offers Hormuz Deal In Exchange For End To U.S. Blockade

Iran is offering to relinquish control over the Strait of Hormuz if the United States lifts its blockade and brings the conflict to an end, according to officials.

The proposal would delay negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program, a condition the Trump administration is unlikely to accept.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio says any agreement must include nuclear-related talks.

While a temporary ceasefire remains in place, officials say a long-term settlement between the two sides is still uncertain.
