Judge Dismisses Trump Defamation Lawsuit Against Wall Street Journal
2 weeks ago
A federal judge has dismissed President Donald Trump’s $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch.
The case stemmed from a report concerning Trump’s alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein, including a described letter the newspaper said bore his signature.
The judge ruled that Trump failed to sufficiently demonstrate the article was published with actual malice, but allowed him the opportunity to file an amended complaint.
Trump denies the allegations and says he intends to move forward with what he calls a “powerful case,” signaling he plans to refile the lawsuit.
