New details are emerging about the suspect charged in the murder case of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson.
26-Year-Old Luige Mangione, a former Ivy League student and activist who is described as a "tech whiz" was ID’d as the suspect.
According to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch "The suspect was in a McDonald's in Pennsylvania and was recognized by an employee who then called local police’
Tisch said Mangione was carrying a ghost gun and a suppressor that matched the weapon used in the murder, The fake New Jersey ID that is believed to have been used at the Hostel before the shooting, and a two page note railing against the healthcare industry including lines that said ‘these parasites had it coming’ & ‘I don’t want to cause any drama but it had to be done’
Mangione studied at the University of Pennsylvania. He was valedictorian of his 2016 graduating class at the Gilman School in Baltimore
